四川大学匹兹堡学院是由四川大学与美国匹兹堡大学（美国新闻与世界报道2024年全球大学排名第45位）合作成立的中外联合学院，是两所享有国际声誉的中美名校强强联合进行国际化办学的新模式，是教育部于2014年正式批准的中美顶尖研究型大学合作机构。学院引入国际一流大学的办学理念、abet认证的课程体系、全球公开招聘的师资及优质教育资源，融合两校的学术及教育优势，采用全英语授课方式，目前开设计算机科学与技术、电子信息工程、工业工程、机械设计制造及其自动化、材料科学与工程五个本科专业。

sichuanuniversity- pittsburgh institute (scupi) is an academic entity jointly established bysichuanuniversityand theuniversityofpittsburgh. approved bychina’s ministry of education in 2014, scupi is one of the large-scale partnerships between a topusuniversity and a top-rate chinese university. scupi now enrolls around 1025 undergraduate students in five majors, including computer science, electrical and computer engineering, industrial engineering, materials science and engineering, and mechanical engineering. the technical curricula of scupi comply fully with those taught at the swanson school of engineering (ssoe) and theschoolofcomputingand information (sci) of theuniversityofpittsburgh. scupi will continue to grow in size and discipline.
